Sisterhood

From mover and shaker to feisty bubbe, we are a proud and vibrant group of women.  We are smart, social, compassionate and involved in the world around us.

Our calendar is filled with activities, such as this year’s opening event of QiGong – a holistic system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing and meditation – and a hands-on baking tutorial scheduled for Febraury.  

Whether we gather to have fun and/or to accomplish a goal, we are busy:

• We greet new members and one another during the first gathering of the year, at the Paid-Up membership brunch.

• We celebrate Hanukah with our “Latkes and Libations” event.

• We volunteer with IHOC (Interfaith Homeless Outreach Council) and the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church to feed the homeless around the winter holidays.
• We raise money for the synagogue with an annual High Holiday flower sale, the creation and distribution of Shalach Manot baskets for Purim, the yearly calendar, and much more. 
• We oversee the Judaica shop at Beth Tikvah.
• We plan and prepare refreshments and/or meals for the annual Torah Fund event honoring one of our own, the Paid-Up membership brunch, Break-the-Fast for Yom Kippur, for our very special Sisterhood Shabbat service and for various speaker events.
• We meet for a book review with discussion and refreshments.

Most of all, we develop life-long friendships with one another. 

No matter what we do, we have fun doing it…together!
